Dear Prospective Panhellenic New Member,

Hello and welcome to Panhellenic Recruitment 2024! :))))

My name is Grace Munn, and I am the Vice President of Recruitment for the Panhellenic Association at GW. I am beyond excited to welcome you to the amazing process of Formal Recruitment and introduce you to the community of sorority membership. At a school as independent and driven as GW, it can be difficult to make valuable and lasting friendships. Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) opened the door to a new set of lasting connections here. No matter which chapter you ultimately join, being a part of our Panhellenic community opens doors for new incredible people, job connections, philanthropic and service opportunities, academic support, and general personal growth. Joining Fraternity and Sorority Life was one of the best decisions I have made at GW - it helped me find a network of people that pushed me to be better person overall. Ultimately, I hope to help you find this same safe space, where you can be your most genuine self and can grow and thrive during your time at GW.

When recruitment comes closer, you will be assigned two Pi Rho Chis (Panhellenic Recruitment Counselors, or PRCs) who will help guide and advise you before and during recruitment. They will be your confidants and support system, so lean on them when you need them. Finally, remember to write down the dates of recruitment in your calendar and book your travel well in advance - you'll need to be back to GW's campus a bit early!

Here is a quick list of requirements to make sure you're able to participate:

You must attend the Potential New Member (PNM) Orientation on Tuesday, January 7th. Recruitment begins the following day on Wednesday, January 8th and concludes on Sunday, January 12th.
You must complete a FSL 101 session hosted by Fraternity & Sorority Life.
You must complete the Potential New Member Interest and Disclosure form

Failure to do any of the above will result in ineligibility to go through Recruitment - so please do reach out ASAP with any questions you may have!

The Panhellenic (meaning "all greek") Association is the governing body of ten National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities on campus. The eight members of the Panhellenic Executive Board, along with the Recruitment Team and Panhellenic Recruitment Counselors (Pi Rho Chi's, or PRCs), are all in one of these ten sororities at GW. However, to give those going through recruitment unbiased advice, they will be cross-associated from their chapters beginning December 1st. On Bid Day, everyone will watch the Panhellenic Executive Board, Recruitment Team, and Pi Rho Chis reveal their chapter affiliation! Until such time, those cross-associated, unbiased members are great resources for any questions you might have about sorority life, recruitment, or GW in general!
