We, the Interfraternity Council, exist to promote the shared interests and values of our member fraternities: leadership, service, brotherhood and scholarship. We believe in Fraternity and that the shared values of Fraternity drive the IFC to create better communities, better chapters and better men.

We work to advance the academic mission of the host institution, to enable fraternal organizations to grow and thrive through collaboration and teamwork, to provide an outlet for self-governance and accountability, and to model and teach ethical leadership. In a spirit of mutual support and betterment, we, the men of the Interfraternity Council, pledge to elevate the Ritual and the values of the member organizations.

Requirements

Only enrolled undergraduate men at Augusta University are eligible to receive membership invitations from Interfraternity Council chapters.
Dual-enrolled students are not allowed to receive membership invitations.
Potential New Members shall not be, or ever have been, an initiated member of an NIC member organizations
For a Potential New Member, it is required to have a High School grade point average or Collegiate Regent GPA of 2.50
May not have any Student Code of Conduct violations on record with the university.
Must register online for IFC recruitment if joining for fall and pay $25 Registration fee (Food and T-shirt)

Statement on Hazing:

HAZING IS NOT A PART OF THE ASSOCIATION PROCESS INTO ANY GREEK ORGANIZATION.

HAZING CONFLICTS WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY AND IS PROHIBITED.

HAZING INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:

ANY INTENTIONAL OR RECKLESS ACT ON OR OFF CAMPUS THAT VIOLATES ANY UNIVERSITY RULES AND REGULATIONS, LAWS OR POLICIES OF THE PARENT ORGANIZATION, OR LOCAL, STATE OR NATIONAL LAWS
ANY INTENTIONAL OR RECKLESS ACT ON OR OFF CAMPUS BY ONE (1) STUDENT ACTING ALONE OR WITH OTHERS WHICH IS DIRECTED AGAINST ANY OTHER STUDENT THAT ENDANGERS THE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, OR PHYSICAL HEALTH OR SAFETY OF THAT STUDENT, OR WHICH INDUCES OR COERCES A STUDENT TO ENDANGER SUCH STUDENT’S MENTAL, EMOTIONAL, OR PHYSICAL HEALTH OR SAFETY.
ANY ACTION TAKEN OR SITUATION CREATED ON OR OFF CAMPUS WHICH COULD BE REASONABLY EXPECTED TO PRODUCE MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DISCOMFORT, EMBARRASSMENT, HARASSMENT, OR RIDICULE

IT IS MY DUTY TO REPORT ANY ACTS OF HAZING BEING OPPOSED ON MYSELF OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS THAT I WITNESS OR BECOME INVOLVED WITH TO THE DEPARTMENT OF STUDENT LIFE AND ENGAGEMENT.

By signing up for IFC Fall Recruitment you have agreed to the above Hazing Agreement and to release your grades to the office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.

By registering for Recruitment your information will become available to all IFC fraternities at Augusta University participating in IFC recruitment. However, this does not guarantee that Chapters will contact you about specific recruitment events. It is recommended that you also contact the recruitment chairmen of individual chapters that you are interested in learning more about.

IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN IFC RECRUITMENT YOU MUST FULFILL THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

-REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION PAYMENT SATISFIED THROUGH ICS

-IFC OPEN HOUSE OR MAKE-UP IFC OPEN HOUSE ATTENDANCE ON RECORD

Any potential participant who fails to complete the above requirements will be deemed ineligible to receive a formal bid from an IFC fraternity at Augusta University.
